DSA — Context
The Design Students’ Association (DSA) is a student-run organization that hosts workshops, events, and educational opportunities for students interested in or studying design at York University.
The circle—a symbol of community—was reorganized in abstract forms to create a shape system that represents the DSA’s offerings and key annual events. These shapes could be used as signifiers for various events or as decorative patterns for banners or prints. Additionally, a vibrant, high-contrast colour palette was made to be eye-catching in social media feeds and on-campus environments.
Together, these elements create a modular brand identity that reintroduces rhythm and fun, while maintaining accessibility and clarity for all students.
