As life unfolds, there is a point where one reaches the end of childhood and peers into the daunting unknown.
In Tomorrow, I Turn Twenty, reflects on the parallel between exploring a new city and navigating through adulthood; both require curiosity, openness, and an understanding that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to finding one's path.
What's inside?
The pages are unbound and readers are encouraged to take apart the book and unfold the pages.
Each signature reveals itself to have an almost “mirror” image, tying back to the themes around comparison. The signatures also unfold to reveal larger photos of Chicago, which can also be used as a poster.
Choosing a more simple and minimal approach was difficult at first, but I quickly learned that this was the best way to convey my idea.
By the end of this project, I learned how to break from a traditional publication structure to create a unique and interactive experience!
